Well my friend, for example, was at an event where they were shooting. He went up to one of the photographers and asked if they were hiring. They said yes and told him to send in his portfolio. He did, and he got hired. Then, a year later he was like dude, I work for this agency, you should send in your portfolio. So I just went to their website and e-mailed a really small portfolio. It’s not like applying for a regular job (or at least this one wasn’t). I didn’t have an interview or anything. They were like, ok, and sent me to shoot an event with several other agency photographers. And so the first couple events I went to were commission only (so I only got paid if people bought the pictures) and then after that I guess I ‘passed’ and started getting what I’d consider to be more ‘real’ events. It’s been sweet though, my pictures have been in a lot of different publications and such just because I was the one there at the event getting the shots, not because I individually rock super hard as a photographer. I’m sure plenty of reddit photographers are better than me, especially at artistic photography. What I learned to do was how to get to the point where I take the picture (how to get through to important people at an event, etc).
Sounds like a firewall issue. Try turning off your software firewall while trying set up to see if that will allow it. In Microsofts Firewall you have to check a box to allow the 360 to communicate.
